Hello, first of all congratulations on your work.
Unfortunately I have to report numerous malfunctions of the latest version.
In addition to the problems already indicated (the backup does not start, absurd interface, etc.), I would like to ask:
why is it no longer possible to customize the backups and create new ones?
Furthermore, the existing backups are either “file only” or “database only” (at least on the initial screen).
To have everything synchronized I would like there to be only one backup (of files and database together), so as not to risk the integrity of the data.
In any case, even on the page with the list of backups, it is not very clear.
Then the “edit” button does not allow you to modify anything.
Please take mine as a report and not a complaint, because I continue to believe that this is an excellent plugin and I would like to continue using it.
Thanks and have a good day.

    Hi,

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and for continuing to support BackWPUp despite the challenges with the latest update. We really appreciate it!

We understand that the removal of fully customizable jobs and the separation of file and database backups have been frustrating for many users. The goal was to simplify the process, but we recognize that flexibility is essential. That’s why we’re actively working on bringing back multiple custom jobs and improving overall backup management.

For now, while backups are split into files and databases, both are still performed as part of the scheduled process. We’ve also restored custom scheduling and backup history based on user feedback, and we’re continuing to refine the UI to make everything clearer and more intuitive.

Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re taking all of this into account as we move forward with improvements. If you have any specific issues with backups not starting, feel free to reach out so we can troubleshoot further.

Thanks again for your patience and support, and have a great day!

    Best regards,
    The BackWPUp Team
