Please help! Hosting questions…

    Okay, I bought startlogic hosting today, and am trying to get my domain up and running not as a blog, but as a website, using one of the free WordPress templates.

    So, how on earth do I get the template uploaded to my site? Is startlogic just hard to use/navigate or am i going crazy? lol

    I also have a pair acct and was considering using it instead.. since i am going to develope a bunch of websites, maybe 5-10.

    This is the second attempt at getting a wordpress up and running (first attempt was a blog) and i guess i just get too stressed and give up.

    I got into my control panel on the host, and from there, am not sure how to get the latest version of wordpress & my template uploaded to the server. It doesnt spell that aspect out anywhere.

    I did however upload wordpress via inside the startlogic site, it is the older version 2.3.3 i think, i named it root, here is where it got me: http://bedford-ny-real-estate.com/root/

    Please anyone if you can help me you will be my hero!! I will even give other hosting service a try for some other sites, i just want to get this done. Thanks 😉

    ps- what is the best hosting site that works the BEST w/ wordpress? its so hard to find unbiased info!!

    pps- is there a hosting service that MOST easily installs wordpress? At this point, im willing to try around and stick to the one that works best. Maybe i can get a refund from startlogic, but i had the same issues w/ Pair a year ago and gave up, lol. it could just be me.

    yah nifty, so you installed wordpress through their control panel — too bad its hackable.

    bad move, and badder yet, if you expect to learn anything, and actually make changes to your site.

    Assuming you have an ftp client, and ftp access, why not follow the directions and upload and install WP the “right way”?

    Isnt there step-by-step direction on how to create database and how to access a server?
