so I customized this theme (Customizr by Themes and Co.) for a while, pretty much all day. and about 20 minutes ago, I tried modifying the main-footer-footer.php file to add something, and I get this syntax error now, it read “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/94/12156594/html/wp/wp-content/themes/customizr/parts/class-footer-footer_main.php on line 127” when I try to open any page. I simply want to be able to navigate around and troubleshoot this. I repeat, every link I try to click in my WP admin panel, I get an error… please help someone.

here’s a link to my site (currently with the error): http://tedxoaklanduniversity.com/wp/

I should add, I was originally trying to foolishly modify the css in the footer without sufficient knowledge, and obviously messed something up. *sigh* I could build another site, but… dang. Please, someone, if you can help, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

That should be a pretty quick fix, actually.

If you are confident that modifying the main-footer-footer.php file caused the issue, you might try just uploading a fresh copy of that file using your ftp client.

If that fails, you can use your ftp client to rename or remove the customizr theme folder and then log back into your site (try tedxoaklanduniversity.com/wp/wp-login.php) and the default WordPress theme should take over.

    ClaytonJames,

thanks for the quick reply. I actually just contacted my host, I didn’t set up an ftp client on my end, but I explained the issue, and gave him the (pre-modified main-footer-footer php file), and hopefully that will fix it. I’ll update this thread if it does.. it’s just a bummer how touchy the css is… on the other hand, I should learn more and thus should’ve know better haha… again, I’ll update this thread if that fixes it… thanks for the quick response..
