I am a plugin developer
My desktop crashed, now i bought a laptop waiting for repair of dektop
Try to get access via turtise svn to my plugins,

My question is: how to init my local filesystem and svn so that i can update my local laptop with the exiting repository
and what url do i have to supply to svn

Plugin (a.o.): wp-photo-album-plus

SVN URL is in this format: https://plugins.svn.ww.wp.xz.cn/<plugin-slug>/

In your case: https://plugins.svn.ww.wp.xz.cn/wp-photo-album-plus/

You can find the URL of your plugins’ SVN on their plugin page under the “Development” tab. Example: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/#developers

There, “SVN Repository” is linked to this exact URL: https://plugins.svn.ww.wp.xz.cn/wp-photo-album-plus/

I don’t use TortoiseSVN myself, but I’ve looked at it before. I just ran through it:

If you have Windows, after installing TortoiseSVN, click somewhere in a free area in Explorer and select “Checkout”. Then enter the SVN URL at the top (see above) and let it check out. It takes a while, especially for plugins with lots of changes, and then you’ll have your repository locally on your computer in a directory.

Hi,

In a Linux environment, the svn command is used, which can also be used in Windows if it is installed.
The checkout command creates the work copy of your plugin.

Work from the command prompt after svn is installed.

Create a work copy.

cd work-copy. Enter in the work copy.
svn checkout http://plugins.svn.ww.wp.xz.cn/your-plugin (https also works well)

Your plugin is in the work-copy\your-plugin folder.

Got it working again.
Yes i had the svn password
The url was the ‘missing link’
