Okay, it’s a conflict with a plugin I am using called “Smart Fields”.
When I deactivate Smart Fields, a modal dialog pops up which I dismissed.
I then re-activated Smart Fields and YOP Polls works as I expect.
So the conflict is specifically with that modal dialog you pop up the first time the plugin is accessed.
I am seeing the same “Please wait…” on other sites where I have not deactivated Smart Fields.
It appears there is a conflict between your Modal Dialog code and the Smart Fields plugin. None of the parts of your code that use a modal dialog work when Smart Fields is activated.
I’ll do my best to debug it and figure out exactly what the conflict is (probably a Javascript library).
