“Please Wait” and cannot access templates
-
Is there a way to remedy this? Can’t seem to create any stories due to “please wait” which never loads. Also, can’t get into any templates. Please assist. Also, is there a link to a live chat?

@katie80 Thank you for reaching out with your topic, and sorry to hear of these issues you are experiencing.
We will be able to provide you support on the WordPress support forum.
Please note we are not allowed admin access per forum and (our own) guidelines, but we’d like to work with you to get the dashboard and access to templates up and running again.
We’ve had similar reports about this error and are currently investigating it in this GitHub issue.
To confirm your issue may be related:
– who is your hosting provider
– do you have any server-side caching or security measures enabled
– are you seeing any browser console errors? If so, please share a screenshot.Hi and thank you!
My hosting provider is Bluehost.
Not sure what you mean about server-side caching, etc. as I’m not very techy.
I don’t believe I’m seeing any errors.I’m just having a hard time as it won’t let me click on “Stories” “Explore Templates”. I get a “please wait.”

@katie80 Does this issue occur when Web Stories is activated alone and when using a default theme?
To simulate this safely, you can use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.
– Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
– Enabling plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
– Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.Meanwhile, please share your Site Health information privately using this form.
@katie80 There has been an update to the Web Stories for WordPress plugin. Could you please update to version 1.6.0 in an incognito browser and let us know if the issue has subsided on your end? Thanks!
Oh, no! I now have no access to Stories. Now when I click “Stories” I get a page that looks like a coding page and ZERO access to my Stories (which I have deadlines for). Last night it was working (still with “please wait”) but today…nothing and in I’m incognito. It says I’m using Version 1.6.0.
What is going on? I can’t do my work now…

@katie80 Thanks for the update. Could you share a screenshot of what you see?
Could you please share your Site Health information privately using this form so we can take a closer look at your site set-up?
Could you check for any browser console errors?
That form is super confusing…not sure where to share a screenshot and they are asking for so much information. No easier way?
I just filled out what I could. LMK if you get it.
@katie80 You can find Site Health in the Tools menu in your WordPress backend.
You’ll find an Info screen with detailed information about the configuration of your site which is helpful to see when trying to determine if there may be a conflicting plugin/theme.Simply copy the data from Tools -> Site Health -> Info -> “Copy site info to clipboard” (see example) and paste it here if you’d like.
Screenshots can be shared using services like JumpShare or Imgur.
I appreciate your collaboration while we work on getting Web Stories working for you again. Please let me know if you run into issues.
Yes. Site health is good.
Is no one else having this issue? The font is basic and it’s like a coding page.
Sorry @katie80 it looks like the Site Health was not pasted. Here is a video example that may help with the process.

We haven’t received any reports of the like. A screenshot of this would be greatly helpful and we’d be happy to check.
You can paste it on the “Your answer” line under the Site Health info section as demonstrated in the video above. You can also see this sccreenshot: https://jmp.sh/a5joI5Z
The screenshot link can be pasted on the “Your answer” line under this section “Any other supporting information (optional)”.
The lines are free-form text fields that you can paste your answers in.
Does this help?
@katie80 In testing a similar set up as you, I ran across this issue: https://jmp.sh/SQfFBNU. Does this look like something you are experiencing?
Yes. But, in color!
Do I have to hire someone to fix this or can you help me?
