Starting July 22-23, 2025, PublishPress Authors – Version 4.8.0 has caused the white screen of death. First front-end and back-end, then just back-end after I restored a backup last week.

I removed all plugin data from the PHP database so that I could get back into my website’s backend and when I started reactivating the plugins this is the one that caused the problem.

If it doesn’t, in a situation like this, the first thing to do is find the error message. You can check that via your hosting company, or by installing a plugin such as https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/debug-log-manager/. With an error message, the problem can be solved.
