Hi @wrapwithlove,
To start off, could you confirm whether you have already updated your version of the SimplyBook plugin to the latest 3.1.0 version (which contains a fix for the demo version appearing unexpectedly)? If not, please update the plugin to version 3.1.0 first.
After updating the plugin to 3.1.0, could you try re-inserting the SimplyBook widget/block on the page in question on your site? That should refresh the settings and result in the ‘correct’ widget/URL being rendered once more.
Kind regards, Jarno
hi Jarno,
yes, it is the right version and added the new widget. But i think the problem is I am logged in as user
rsp5090 etc.
But I cant log out or in in the plugin
Hi @wrapwithlove,
Hmm, the widget is still returning a 404 Not Found at the moment. I have some follow-up questions, as it isn’t entirely clear to me exactly what the reason for this could be yet.
– Can you reach the dashboard of the SimplyBook WordPress plugin?
– If so, what happens when you navigate to Settings -> General and click the Log out button here?
– Can you login with the same credentials?
– If not, what kind of error do you encounter?
Kind regards, Jarno
yes, I can reach the dashboard.
when I am going to settings I can not log out. If I push the button it does ‘t log me off. It still days user rsp5090455451 is logged in.
so I can’t log in with the right username and password
Hi @wrapwithlove,
Ah okay, now I understand. The logout issue you described is almost certainly due to caching, which makes the session persist regardless of clicking the Log Out button.
As you’re on WordPress.com, you will likely need to take the following approach to clear the (object) cache on your site: https://wordpress.com/support/clear-your-sites-cache/#clear-your-sites-cache
After clearing the caches on your site as described above, you should get logged out from the plugin as expected.
We will look further into improving upon this in an upcoming release of the plugin, to hopefully make the above steps unnecessary even when there is persistent (object) caching involved on a site.
Kind regards, Jarno
yes! This was the problem! Thanks a lot!
Hi @wrapwithlove,
Appreciate the confirmation, glad to hear that worked for you.
In the next release of the plugin this should no longer be needed 😉
Kind regards, Jarno
