• Hello all,

    Recently, several of my plug-ins have failed to update. It all started when my website crashed. I am not very tech savvy, so I rushed over to Bluehost (my server) and had them take a look. The individual stated they were disabling all plug-ins and that I would then have to update them one at a time to figure out the issue. Okay, not a problem. Unfortunately, when I began updating plug-ins, I kept getting an error for each of the plug-ins.

    My dashboard showed the following:

    “Highend theme requires the following plugin: Visual Composer – Live Drag & Drop Page Builder.
    Please install this plugin.

    Highend theme recommends the following plugins: Contact Form 7, Essential Grid, LayerSlider WP and Revolution Slider.

    Begin installing plugins | Dismiss this notice”

    I then began to install the plug-ins but unfortunately got similar notifications for each of them:

    Installing Plugin: Visual Composer – Live Drag & Drop Page Builder

    Downloading install package from http://hb-themes.com/repository/plugins/js_composer.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Could not create directory. /home1/arunner1/public_html/reedswellnessandfitnesstraining/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/

    Plugin install failed.

    Plugin not activated. A higher version of Visual Composer – Live Drag & Drop Page Builder is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.”

    I then contacted Bluehost again and he stated that I would have to go into the file manager and upload the updated plug-in. So, I did that. Unfortunately, nothing happened. And now, I am here. 🙂

    Thoughts?

    {EDIT}
    I just went into my “Installed Plugins” folder on my dashboard and there are zero plugins. I figured they would atleast be listed and all I would have to do is click activate. Thoughts?
