plugin 3.03 and wordpress 3.7.1

    Hello,

    I just change my hosting and i upgrade the wordpress version from 3.6.1 to 3.7.1.
    Before migration, the plugin was working fine. But now, each time i try to launch it, i have an error message :
    504 Gateway Time-out
    The server didn’t respond in time.

    So my question is what is wrong? The plugin not compatible with the latest wordpress version or my hosting is blocking something (or something missing)?

    Hello,

    the plugin is compatible with latest wordpress version.

    Can you asking you new hoster if loopback connections are allowed. And that the server can connect to himselv over his domain name (DNS, hosts correctly configured).

    If not the WordPRess cron can’t work also (for example: scheduled posts)

    Well in fact, there is a timeout for all the script on my new hosting. That’s the reason why the plugin is not working.
    I guess this make backwpup unusable!

    You can try to use Alternative Cron.

    But not only BackWPup is affected. All Plugin that uses the wp-cron and WordPRess itself will have problems.
