Plugin 3.0.5 hangs before finishing

I just upgraded to BackWPup 3.0.5. The user interface has changed quite a bit. Just to be sure, I went through all the settings for my backup job, and they were still correct. However, when I ran my first backup job, the plugin hanged with the top bar at 50% and the bottom bar at 89%. The time running was still updating in the job listing below. I let it go for an extra 100 seconds with no change. When I aborted, I got the error message for abort. Upon FTP to the site, however, there was a zip file that seemed to be complete. I ran the backup again. This time it completed. However, when I FTPed to the site, there was no new zip file. I deleted the first zip file in my backup folder (backing up to a folder on the server), and ran the job again. This time it completed, and FTP showed the latest zip file and the second zip file that was missing before. Can you suggest what is going on? Thanks.

Also, I am using another plugin Formidable Pro forms generator. I believe this plugin creates a second database file. Is there any way I can get BackWPup to backup that database, also? Thanks.
