Installing and activating this plugin obstructs all site images from displaying. Their container boxes remain, but the images don’t load.

It may be a plugin conflict of some kind. Which WordPress version and plugins, and please could you share the site link?

The site link is unleashedmedia.net and it is running 4.9.8.

It appears to be a conflict with Jetpack. Jetback can be activated, but as soon as Jetpack is connected to WordPress.com, the bug begins to show.
