Plugin Activation; Fatal Error: Allowed Memory Size

    Hello!

    I am very excited to begin exploring the features of your plugin as it looks to be what I am looking for, however I receive a fatal error whenever I attempt to activate the plugin. the error is as follows:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 147456 bytes) in /home1/svsvijmy/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 77

    I have have followed regular troubleshooting and attempted to adjust the PHP memory in the wp-config.php file (setting it at the following intervals of 128/256/512). Next I attempted to change the settings in the .htaccess file which only resulted in crashing the entire site when adding php_value memory_limit 64M.

    I then spoke tech support for my hosting service. After a few changes the error was still appearing and they left the allotment at 512mb and suggested I reach out to your wonderful support team for some more direction.

    Please let me know if there is anything I can try, or have the hosting service try to get the plugin up and running.

    Hi @shoki6458,

    I’m afraid, this error is caused by your server setting or some issues with your WordPress install. Please go to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> Install info and check whether the new memory limit setting recognized or not. You can also try to disable all plugins except Ultimate member and switching to the default theme and see if this issue goes away so we can rule out Ultimate member issues.

    Thank-you for your response!

    Changing to the default theme had no effect, however deactivating all of the plugins did allow for the activation of Ultimate Member.

    I was then able to reactive everything without any issues.
