Plugin activation throws an Fatal Error

    Hello,

    WordPress informed me that PHP Version 7 is insecure and so I switched to the latest available 8.4.

    I enabled Debug and when I try to activate it, it shows the following Error in wp-content/debug.log:

    [25-Jan-2026 06:47:03 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Declaration of Dhii\Di\CompositeContainer::has($id) must be compatible with Psr\Container\ContainerInterface::has(string $id): bool in ******/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/v4/vendor/dhii/di/src/CompositeContainer.php on line 46

    Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the error log details.

    The error message indicates that your site is still running Aggregator v4, which is not fully compatible with the latest PHP versions.

    To ensure full compatibility with newer PHP versions, you will need to migrate to Aggregator v5. You can follow the step by step migration guide here. Once the migration to v5 is completed, this error should be resolved.

    Before proceeding, we strongly recommend testing the migration on a staging copy of your site first. This allows you to confirm everything works as expected without affecting your live site.
