Plugin active only in some product categories?

    Hi, I’d like to know if there’s a way—or perhaps a snippet code—to enable variations for certain product categories but not others where I want to use the standard Astra theme’s variation style. Can anyone help me with this?

    At the moment, we don’t have a built-in feature or a code snippet that allows enabling swatches only for specific product categories while keeping the standard variation style (like Astra’s default) for others.

    The Variation Swatches plugin works based on the attributes you configure — if an attribute has swatch settings applied (like color, label, or image), those settings will reflect wherever that attribute is used.

    If you’d like to apply swatches to only certain products, a practical approach would be:

    • Create separate custom attributes specifically for the products where you want swatches.
    • Set the swatch settings (color, image, or label) for those attributes.
    • For the products where you prefer the default style, use different attributes without any swatch settings applied.

    This gives you full control over where swatches appear without affecting the entire catalog.
