[Plugin: Advanced Excerpt] Tags left open

Hi,
I’ve a problem with tha Advanced Excerpt plugin: it seems to leave several tags open that are closed at the end of the while (by the force_balance_tags funcion, I assume).
For example, if the text is trimmed inside a blockquote or a ul, the following meta informations and social buttons (that are placed after the excerpt in my theme) end up placed inside the block or the list.

I think this happen because the plugin leaves the tags but does not closes them.
How can be solved this problem (having the tags closed, I mean, I guess stripping them should avoid the problem).
