[Plugin: Advanced Post List] Exclude current post from results (not working)

I am listing posts by “current tags” and I want to list
“all posts with the same tag, including the one that is currently being viewed”
Regardless of the setting of:
Exclude current post from results
on or off
the current post IS excluded.
