Apparently, the product ASIN number that does not exist in the Amazon of Japan, to appear on page 404.

It looks like the 404s work a bit differently on the Japanese site for some reason. I’ve made some changes to a new version, if you’l like to test it out please give me your email address and I’ll send you a copy.

Does it Amazon product image links? I have some book cover images linking to Amazon and am wondering if I have to use text-only links, or if both text and image links work?

Hi, it’ll work with any link that is present in your original HTML – it doesn’t matter what’s inside the link element.
It does not, however, work with the various Amazon widgets which automatically generate images and text from withn an iframe.

i really like this Plugin. Unfortunately, i do also have a problem with the geo location. I’ve added german Amazon Links with the Amazon Image Link Creator to my site. The Plugin converts the large link version from the creator to the exec/obidos/ASIN/xxx/affiliate links.
I’ve added a amazon.com link to test the localization in germany, but it does not convert. If you want to have a look at the links, check out my site DJ rooms. On the right frame, you can see some CD covers. the last CD cover is a amazon.com link for testing. all others are amazon.de links.
Would be great if you can help me.

Hey Pete,
got this working now, but it only works with search links and the Amazon mainpage. Links with an ASIN do not get changed to the region. I used the *.com links and they get changed to *.de.
That’s fine for me. Any guess why it does not work with Product links here?

thanks for your reply. Just go to http://www.dj-rooms.com and try one of the links (cd-covers or animated gif) on the right.
It works now with search and category links. But won’t work with article links. Unfortunately i do not have any article links on the site any more.
