From time to time I check all my pages including checkout. It happened twice already that the payment method “credit card” (via Stripe, using this plugin) was gone. Both times I found out the plugin was deactivated, but certainly not by me. After re-activating it, everything looked and worked fine again.

Is this issue known to anybody and is there a reason and/or possible solution?

    Hi @rhinebow,

    Greetings from WebToffee.

We would like to let you know that the plugin won’t be deactivated automatically by itself.

Hi @webtoffee, well that wasn’t my question, I never would have believed so 😉 Anyways, the issue is real (and not good), and I was wondering whether anybody else had ever experienced it before. If you as the developer haven’t, you may close this. Besides this issue, the plugin works very well, at least as far as the credit card section is concerned (not using any other). I’d only like to know what could possibly cause this strange issue.

    Hi @rhinebow,

We have tested this in multiple test environments and were unable to replicate the issue. The only chances for the plugin to get deactivated are when it is deactivated manually from the plugin list and when there is a conflict with another plugin.
If you have other admin users on your site then can you please check with them if they have deactivated it? Also, try deactivating the plugins on your site one at a time to check if it’s a plugin compatibility issue.
