[Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Additional Database Backup

    Thank you for a simple to use backup facility that works – even on a Heartinternet site. (With your suggested mod).

    I hope I am not showing my ignorance but my site hosts an SMF forum which has its own database. Of course, this is ignored during the backup process.

    It would be nice if this could be included in the same backup. How does BackUpWordpress ignore this database which is hosted on the same server?

    I am sure that there must be many people in the same position as me.

    Hi Bob,

    BackUpWordPress doesn’t actively ignore your other databases, it only knows about the WordPress database that is entered in your wp-config.php file.

    You could get this to work by having SMF use the same database as your WordPress Site, that way it’s tables would get backed up too.
