[Plugin: BackUpWordPress] problems with schedules running at odd times

    Hi,

    I have set up the BackUpWordpress plug in to do daily database backups at 11:00 pm each night, and weekly database and site backups each sunday at 03:00.

    The backups are working but they back-up, not at the scheduled times, but at about 08:00 each morning (I am based in the UK)!

    any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there –

    A couple things to check – is your time zone set correctly in the WordPress admin? The plugin will pull the timezone from that.

    Aside from that, is it possible your site is very low traffic? Since we use wp-cron to fire off the backups, if the site is low traffic, it could be that the backup doesn’t run until the site is visited?

    Hi Kat,

    I think that it will be the latter of theses solutions as the site has only just been launched and not visible to search engines yet.

    timezone is set correctly.
