Hi Gillian, the first thing I’d do would be to try switching to the TwentyEleven theme for a few minutes, just to check if it happens in that theme too. That’ll help isolate the problem.

Assuming the problem only happens in your theme, and since it only happens in IE9, I’d probably create a conditional stylesheet for IE9 (or, preferably, use IE body classes) and
experiment with the following values. Try different combinations and different values.

Your theme is applying the new CSS3 word-wrap property, which may be the source of the problem. It looks like it’s fully supported by IE9 (except for using the legacy name), but most themes don’t use it, so it wouldn’t surprise if that were the problem.

You can also open IE9’s Developer Tools to inspect the .bgmp_placemark elements. Look for differences in the between a .bgpm_placemark div with 3 years and the others. You can also try switching the document mode to IE8 and seeing if you can spot any differences between it and IE9.
