Hi

firstly thanks for great plugin, simple and very functional!

I am getting my head around configuring it to our needs, and have a couple questions i am struggling to work out myself

We have a certain placemark image to be used on the map – so I have applied setBGMDefaultIcon function to set the new image as a default – worked fine.

Now I however need one thing to work – I have one placemark category created, into which some placemarks are going to be assigned on an on and off basis. What I need is that when I assign placemark into a category, I need it to have a different icon – where can i set this? I tried to apply the filter as above again, but evidently cant do that – what is the workaround to this?

Also I need to style info window that pops up on the click. I know how to assign own styles to the map, but what I need is to set the background color for the info tab to be completely black. When i add background-color to bgmp_placemark class in the CSS, only part of the inside box get coloured – how can apply the backgorund color to the whole of the popup?

vidras, take a look at this post for an example of how to set the icon based on the placemark category.

Styling the info. window frame will probably take some modification to the code in functions.js, but I’m not sure exactly. Here are some pages that might point you in the right direction:
If you find a good way to do it, feel free to post your new code and I’ll consider supporting it natively in a future release.

Hi Ian,

regarding the icon to the category – I already use the function //function setBGMPDefaultIcon// in functions.php in order to set the overall new default placemark, and when i try to use the function again, in order to set the new default placemark icon for the castegory, i get error function tha the function is already used. How can i pass the function and set the filter twice? Or is there a different way of changing the default icon, so I can use the function just once, to change the category placemark icon?

I will have a look into the styling thing and will let you know if i i will come to any reasonable solution.

Right, you can’t create two functions with the same name (in PHP). You could either combine the code into a single function, or just name the two functions differently. The easiest way would be to name them differently, e.g.,
```
function setBGMPDefaultIcon( $iconURL )
{
	...
}
add_filter( 'bgmp_default-icon', 'setBGMPDefaultIcon' );

function setBGMPDefaultIconByCategory( $iconURL, $placemarkID )
{
	...
}
add_filter( 'bgmp_default-icon', 'setBGMPDefaultIcon', 11, 2 );
```
Make sure the category one has a higher priority (the 3rd argument in the add_filter() function — set as 11 above) so that it runs after the default function.
