Can you explain the functionality of the database optimization of this plugin?

I’m a little lost as to what it does, since I cannot make it go into a state that needs optimization. Thanks!

Ahah, I don’t know!
I just take it as I found it on the old plugin. The only parts I improved is the one regardings the removal of revision.
