    Hey,

the plugin seemed to be working great until we wanted to publish a new post.

When trying to publish a new post I get this message:

Updating failed. Error message: The response is not a valid JSON response.

The conflict appears when I have the exceptions set with “All contents (the whole page)”. Otherwise the plugin doesn’t do the job for us, since we need to exclude a bunch of domains.

Can we somehow fix this or perhaps you are planning to fix it?

    Hi,

Yes, applying WPEL rules to All Contents sometimes conflicts with some plugins/themes and could break some API calls. We have it on our ToDo list to fix it but we have not found a stable universal solution yet unfortunately 🙁

You can leave All Contents Unchecked and just leave Post Content, Comments and Widgets. Assuming all your external links are in the content or widgets it should be no difference and all rules will still apply to those links.

    Hey,

    thanks for quick response

I am not sure why but having done exactly as you suggested (selecting Post Content, Comments and Widgets or Post Content only) makes the plugin not work and no “nofollow’ attribute are applied.

I’ll be waiting for you to fix the bug 🙂
