Since upgrading to WordPress 5.5, I am no longer able to set a feature image.

See an example of what that looks like here.

As you can see from the screen shot, the “set feature image” button simply remains inactive.

Also, the usual image information on the right, once an image has been selected, is missing.

This issue occurs on different sites which run on completely different hosting servers.

By deactivating and then reactivating one plugin at a time, I was able to pinpoint the cause of the issue to AIOWPS.

When I deactivate it, everything works as expected again.

Activating it causes the issue again.

Even if I don’t restore the previous rules after reactivating it (meaning just activating it in vanilla mode), it still breaks the set feature image functionality.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,

Just for testing purposes, can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Nineteen? Let me know what happens.

    Thank you

    Hi!

I am using a default WP theme already (which is up-to-date), and I have been using this same theme before and after the WP 5.5 upgrade, so the theme cannot be the reason.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

If you disable all Firewall rules, does that fixes your issue?

    Hi,

no, just disabling the plugin altogether fixes the issue.

    Thanks!

same problem, it’s definitely a plugin issue since it disappears as soon as I deactivate the plugin.

    Hi,

Can you disable all other plugins except ours, then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Thank you
