    Hi Dave,
sorry to hear you’re experiencing this problem.

We added sessions in our latest plugin (3.0.x) and it looks like this isn’t compatible with your hosting.

Here’s the solutions I have for you:
    1) you discuss with your hosting provider to fix the session issue on their side (php should be configured to work properly with sessions).
This would be in my opinion the best way to address this problem as you’ll still be able to use our latest version of ShortPixel plugin.

Anyway, if that’s not an option then an alternative solution would be:
    2) you remove the ShortPixel plugin via FTP (this should be the path /wp-content/plugins/shortpixel-image-optimiser) so you can login via your site’s admin page
Once you did this please contact me:
    https://shortpixel.com/contact
and I’ll be happy to send you an older version of the plugin, 2.1.10, which doesn’t use sessions so you can still use ShortPixel plugin on your site(s).

In the meantime we work at a new version of plugin that won’t employ sessions.
Anyway, please note that I wouldn’t expect this new version of plugin to be ready sooner than about 2 weeks.

    Kind regards,
    Alex Florescu

Sending Dave an older version of the plugin seem to have solved his problems.
We’re working in the meantime on another version that won’t use sessions.
