I forgot to mention that the edited course description became a separate page in my menu and started appearing in my menu bar too!!!

Although i dont know where the database list holds…I’m just re-creating groups as my site is still under testing!!!

Are you on Multisite?If so, which versions of wp and bp and courseware?
Not on multisite, WP 3.4.1, BP 1.6, CW 0.9.6.
I found the issue can be resolved by simply creating new groups. It was simple for me because we haven’t launched the buddyPress side of the site yet so we only had one group.
Good you figured out. Buddypress is required for the CW to run. It’s built after it. “Create a new group” works if not on multisite.
