[Plugin: Business Directory Plugin] Single Listing Page Issues

Hello! I have installed Business Directory and all pages are displaying correctly except the single listing pages. The background of my theme is not extending with the listing. Here is a link: http://www.indiana-homeschool.com/wpbdm-directory/southside-christian-homeschool-academy-scha/

Hi Kristi,

Sorry you’re running into issues. BD uses a template system and our templates are by necessity, pretty generic. So it’s no huge surprise that your theme doesn’t match up 100% with them in all cases.

However, you can fix this by editing the template to use similar code to your theme for the same page. If you find a page in your theme called single.php, you’ll find the basic structure you can move to business-directory-listing.tpl.php.

If that sounds a bit daunting, you might consider hiring a developer from oDesk to do that for a fixed bid. http://odesk.com

Hello! Thank you for getting back with me! Isn’t it odd that only one of the templates is displaying incorrectly? I believe the page that needs fixed is business-directory-single.tpl.php. I edited the one you mentioned above and it changed the main listing page with all of the listings. I just cannot find what is wrong on the single.tpl.php.

I am not willing to hire someone to fix this. I will have to figure it out or find another plugin that works.

It isn’t that odd that only one template does this, but I will investigate further to see if there’s a better way to make that template more friendly to more themes.
