Plugin cannot be activated

    When installing the plugin on a WP 4.0 instance, activation fails with error:

    “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /…/wp-content/plugins/hal/wp-hal.php on line 102″.
