Plugin causes error 500
-
I would like to report an issue, that I pinpointed to Ultimate Social Media Plus.
My website is built in wordpress, using woocommerce.
The problem is that when I try to publish a post, I get a 500 internal server error.
I started deactivating my plugins one by one, and the problem was sovled when I deactivated Ultimate Social Media Plus.
I activated back all the plugins, except for Ultimate Social Media Plus, and there was no problem at all.
Again, after activating Ultimate Social Media Plus, I got a 500 internal server error, when tried to publish a post.
I sent an email to support and what I got as a reply was:
“Hi user of our plugin(s),
Thank you for your inquiry!
After a long time of providing free support (while receiving only very few donations to support our work), we decided to develop a kick-ass Premium Plugin which includes, besides many new fancy features, also all the personal support you need in case you’re stuck. Please check it out.
Please also check if you find your answer in our FAQ.
Thank you!
Your Ultimatelysocial-Team”
I wouldn’t care to comment more, but as I was more like reporting an issue, rather than asking for their help, I would expect something different.
I am not a developer, and I don’t even know if the 500 error is solely their responsibility, or maybe there is a conflict with another plugin (I only checked for conflict with yoast and blog designer, but there was no problem there).
Anyway, it is disappointing, because it is an otherwise nice plugin.
