Plugin Causes Very Slow Site Load – Fixable?

Hi. This plugin is fabulous and is the only redirection plugin I’ve yet found that handles them so completely, and in such an error free way. I love the algos you’re using to redirect, and the customizability of that.

My problem, though, is that it causes my pages to hang and my site to load much slower… so I’ve actually had to deactivate it. Is there any way I can improve this so that I can use it again?
