    Hi,

I am noticing an issue where when a user with no publishing rights tries to submit a post for review, he/she gets a 504 gateway error. But when the plugin is turned off, the post is submitted just fine. I tested this even with twenty seventeen theme with all other plugins turned off and just Permalinks Customizer on and the issue still occurs. More details on our WordPress installation are below

    Wordpress version: 4.9.6
    Theme: Avada – 5.4
    PHP Memory Limit: 512 MB
PHP Post Max Size: 64 MB
    Permalinks Customizer Version : 1.3.9
    Other Plugins installed:
    1. Akismet Anti-Spam – By Automattic
    2. AMP – By WordPress.com VIP, XWP, Google, and contributors
    3. Fusion Builder – By ThemeFusion
    4. Fusion Core – By ThemeFusion
    5. Media Cloud – By interfacelab
    6. Nested Pages – By Kyle Phillips
    7. Pods – By Pods Framework Team
    8. Redirection – By John Godley
    9. User Role Editor – By Vladimir Garagulya
    10. Wordfence Security – By Wordfence
    11. WP File Manager – By mndpsingh287
    12. WP Ultimate CSV Importer Pro – By Smackcoders
    13. Yoast SEO – By Team Yoast

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jagsi

    Hi Sami,

Thanks for your response. I tested the issue again after updating wordpress to 4.9.7, but the issue still persists. I have listed above all the plugins we are using. If I turn off Permalinks customizer the issue goes away and I have the issue occurring even if I am in default twenty seventeen theme with all the other plugins turned off and just Permalinks turned on. That convinces me that there is no conflict with any other plugin. Kindly provide some directions for further debugging

    Regards
    jagsi

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
