Plugin causing posts to appear twice?

    Hello,

    I installed this plugin (it was version 1.0.6 upon installation) and made a new post type. However, upon calling to this new post type, I noticed the posts were showing up twice. But not only that, the standard posts on the blog page were also showing up twice (this was never an issue before). I tried updating the plugin to 1.0.7. Then I tried deactivating the plugin. Then I tried deleting the plugin. I tried deactivating all plugins. None of which resolved the issue. It’s just the content of every post (the title/date only show up once) that is showing up twice.

    Any ideas on what could have happened here?

    Hrm, that’s a good question that I have no answer for. Our plugin doesn’t do anything to affect display of post data or change queries for post types, we focus solely on registration of post types and taxonomies. After that, it’s up to the rest of the site.

    I’d check the theme files to see what may be going on there, to be honest.

    Thanks for the response Michael. As an update to this, it wasn’t an issue with the database or the WordPress install because switching to a different theme had the blog posts showing up correctly. We couldn’t figure out what could possibly be causing the issue as, again, nothing with regard to how the post content was being called on the blog page had been altered, only this plugin had been installed and used. We ended up having to replace the wp-content folder from a back-up we had on file – which fixed the issue.

    Hrm. Odd that that type of thing would fix it, and glad it’s fixed, but at the same time, I’m rather curious the cause 😀
