Plugin Causing Slow Page Loading

I am running WP 3.5.1 & CHIR 6.0
I have 77 images in rotation. Their sizes range from 6k to 26k.
CHIR plug-in synchronously loads all the images at once with the page. Is there some way to asynchronously load the images so it does not impact page loading times? Thanks.
