Hi there, I had bulk edited all my posts to go to specific authors before adding this plugin. Everything was showing properly as far as what authors wrote which posts. Once I added the plugin I go back in and it has reverted back to the old authorship of the posts and bulk edit of the posts is no longer available. As soon as I deactivate the plugin it reverts back to showing authors the way I want them. Thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I also notice now that the author slug that should go to the authors page is reverting back to the homepage rather than an actual author page. The site i am working on is liveyouraloha.com: https://www.liveyouraloha.com/hawaii-helicopter-crashes/

If you click on the author “brian k” for example its just going to the homepage of the site though in the “authors” section of the backend his url slug for his author page is supposed to be liveyouraloha.com/bkman29830

    Hi @nicklion66929

I checked the author is showing fine: https://www.liveyouraloha.com/author/bkman29830/

If our plugin is installed, it’s indeed added /author/ in the permalink

Wow, thats interesting… just tried it in a different browser and it does in fact seem to be working fine. If im logged in to wp however, those pages do not work.

Is there anyway to bulk edit author of posts? maybe by buying the premium version?

Do you have any issue with default bulk editor from WordPress?

So it’s showing for pages just fine, but for the posts section the bulk authors option is not there so long as the plugin is activated.

The screenshot that I attached is from post. So something is wrong in your setup.

Do you have any other plugins installed that you suspect might affect the bulk editor functionality?

Hmm, ya might need to hire someone to look into it. No, it would appear it’s this plugin that’s causing the issue because once deactivated the option is there.

Also if I deactivate the plugin it shows the posts going to the authors I assigned it to, but once it’s activated the posts all revert back to other authors. Maybe a database issue.

I know the bulk editor issue is disappeared when you deactivate PublishPress Authors, but it also can be affected by others plugin. You can try deactivate all plugins except PublishPress Authors to find out.

For the missing author, you can try this button
