[Plugin: Collapsing Archives] Invalid markup (empty ul tags)

    Markup generated by the plugin does not validate as HTML 4.01 nor XHTML 1.0 with the following error:

    end tag for "UL" which is not finished

    (tested with http://validator.w3.org)

    This is probably due to an empty <ul> tag which is generated in order to be populated by items on a javascript event.
