Plugin Connected to Old Store/Account

    I am having issues connecting our page pow.brist.store to the facebook plugin. After clicking “get started” and logging into Facebook I am shown an error message “admin permission required you don’t have permission to edit these settings. reach out to the admin of the business manager ‘Montucky Cold Snacks’ to gain access”. I think an old account we no longer manage or have access to is somehow linked to the facebook plugin. How can we reset this app so we may connect our store? I am logged into our admin account while attempting this.

    Hi @bristmfg – thanks for reaching out!

    Can you try the following:

    • Temporarily disable all cache plugins and clear the cache
    • Delete, then install the plugin again
    • Go to [your-site]/wp-admin/options.php 
    • Search “wc_facebook_external_business_id”, and change it to a random value (it can be anything except for 0)
    • Re-connect the plugin

    Please let us know if you are now able to connect to the correct page.

    Just wanted to follow up and check if you are still having issues with the plugin?

    If so, please temporarily disable all cache plugins and clear your cache, and re-install the plugin.

    Then, go to [your-site]/wp-admin/options.php, search for wc_facebook_external_business_id, and change it to a random value, and re-connect the plugin.
