[Plugin: Connections] Category list?

Love the plugin so far!
I see you recently added category support, it looks like the documentation hasn’t fully caught up (understandable) is there some way to list top-level category names? so that users can click on that category and see a list of sub-categories and/or contacts associated with that category?

i’ve tried [connections_list category=’all’] but that lists all connections for all categories.

do i have to do this as a template?
