Plugin constantly reactivates itself

    Hi,

    Since the update to 6.0, the banner no longer meets my aesthetic expectations (picture linked for reference). I therefore decided to deactivate the plugin and simply deactivate all non-technical cookies on my site (there weren’t many anyway).
    However, the plugin has reactivated itself several times (my site is a multisite setup). I was finally able to uninstall Complianz by deactivating and immediately deleting it. However, this is obviously a bug, so please find the cause and fix it.
    In addition, the banner is constantly widening automatically and becomes about 40px wider with each design adjustment.

    Even though I no longer use the plugin, I would like to thank you for your efforts and wish you continued success.

    I’m sorry to hear that! Please know that we’re always willing to help resolve any issues with the banner/plugin, be it css or anything else! In case you decide to come back to Complianz, let me know and we’ll get your issues resolved I’m sure.

    I just tried to reproduce the issue, but didn’t succeed yet. How is your setup: activated network wide? And did you then deactivate network wide?

    When no code is running anymore, it can’t do any activation actions as well. Additionally, there is no code in the plugin that does anything like that (activating).

    Regarding the banner width: there is a script which measures the banner width relative to the button width, and resizes it when it doesn’t fit. In some languages, very long button texts would cause display issues. I’ve seen a setup where some specific css could cause an issue with this code, which we were able to resolve.

    I’d have to see your specific css to be able to reproduce the issue, but I guess that will be difficult if the plugin is already removed.
