This plugin automatically updated 10/5/25 – corrupting my site database: All-in-One WP Migration and Backup (from version 7.99 to 7.100). The site message is ” error establishing a database connection.”

Additionally, the online ww.wp.xz.cn dashboard no longer shows up when I sign in.

I accessed the site prior to this update and it was fine.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi.
Thank you for reaching out. I hope you are doing well.
“error establishing a database connection” is a very concerning error and I understand your frustration.

However, I want to clarify that our plugin does not modify database connection settings or credentials during updates. The “error establishing a database connection” message indicates an issue with your database configuration (typically in wp-config.php), database server availability, or hosting environment, not the plugin files themselves.

The timing of the error coinciding with the plugin update is likely coincidental. Common causes include:
    – Database server downtime or restart by your host
    – Changed database credentials
    – Corrupted wp-config.php file
    – Exhausted database resources or connection limits

I recommend the following steps to resolve this:
    1. Contact your hosting provider to verify the database server is running and accessible
    2. Verify your database credentials in wp-config.php are correct

The plugin update only modifies plugin files in /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/ and doesn’t touch database configuration or credentials.
