Plugin creates infinite loop resulting in 500 Internal Server Error on pair.com

    Recently with pair.com the underConstruction plugin brought down my site with a 500 Internal Server Error. The support there deactivated the plugin to rescue my site and indicated the problem in their response below;
    We have looked into this issue and found a WordPress plug-in caused your
    site to crash. I have disabled this plug-in and you should find you site up
    now. The plug-in is located on the server at
    ‘/usr/www/users/fredf/myvancity/wp-content/plugins/.not’. The plug-in seems
    to cause an internal loop within WordPress. We recommend you not use this
    plug-in. The plug-in is called underconstruction.

    I would like to use the plugin in the future for maintenance updates but for the time being have deactivated and deleted it.
