[Plugin: CSV Importer] imported posts not found in search

    Straight after running the CSV importer, if one searches website for these posts, nothing is found. Only until after I edit/update the post, does it become ‘indexed’ to be returned in the search results.
    Any way to automatically index these newly imported posts so that they will be visible in my search results? Is a pain to have to open and ‘update’ each one at a time.

    Are you using a search plugin?
    Mine are found just fine.

    Thanks for the reply, Joy.

    I should have mentioned that these are custom post types. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

    And yes I am using Relevanssi search plugin.

    I wonder if I have to add my custom post type to the search query. But that doesn’t seem like the solution since the posts are found after I open and ‘update’ them.

    Mine are custom posts too. But I’m not using Relevanssi, which probably needs a call to update its index. But the standard insert_post function is used, so all the standard stuff should be used.
    I would try deactivating Relevanssi and see if you have the same problem. Like I said, mine are found, but I’m using standard search.
