[Plugin: Dave's WordPress Live Search] multisite searches?

I’m looking for a good search tool which will allow my visitors to search across all blogs from any blog on my multisite installation (subdomain type).

A quick test didn’t find any matches on terms which I know exist on pages in some of the other blogs. It’s possible I may have missed something obvious in setting it up; if so, please let me know.

If not, are there plans to extend the functionality to multisites?
