And I also noticed it’s messing with my custom sidebars.
Hi @awaidell – Thank you for your support request. Is the video background part of the theme or another plugin?
I just added the youtube link on my page as a video background to that row.
Oh, you’re saying the theme has the ability to set a background video within it (presumable through Visual Composer)? Any info you can provide so we can reproduce the issue would be helpful 🙂
Yes, I’m sorry. I’m using the backend editor of Visual Composer. I created a row and used a youtube url as the video. As soon as I activate the plugin my row remains, but the video is stripped. For the custom sidebars, they have custom menus in them and when the plugin is activated it doesn’t show all of them or the correct ones on each page.
As soon as I deactivate the Give plugin everything works fine again.
Thanks!
Would you mind posting a link to your site so I can see how it’s setup with the video? I have a copy of VC and can most likely replicate it if I can see the site.
I have a coming soon page up, I can disable that for today if you can take a look.
The domain is kiraboseeds.org
Thank you!
Thanks! Cool site.
Which page has the video on it?
Thanks. It’s the home page. Right below the nav.
Hmm, I just checked in two browsers and didn’t see any video. Perhaps there’s another issue with the video? I haven’t heard of Give messing with YouTube videos at all until now which is why I suspect something else is the issue. See all these errors in console too?
Browsers – no video

Console errors:

After looking into those errors it looks like its a youtube vs google cast script error. which will be a problem for anyone using chrome.
Thanks, I see what you’re saying. Can you deactivate it now so I can see it with the video working?
I’ve deactivated the plugin. Thanks!
