Sorry for the late response, was at a conference all day.
The most common reason for that would be an error in the custom jQuery selector. Double check that by disabling the custom selector if you’re using it. If you’re not using it or if that doesn’t change anything, please give me the URL of your site here or via direct email and I’ll take a look.
Hi I’m having this exact same issue. I activated the plugin and it disable all my external links and does no notifying.

Thanks for the URL! The javascript console is saying that the background color is invalid. Please go to the Display tab in Exit Notifier Settings and select White, save, and then try again. After that, if it’s working, you should be able to choose whichever setting you like. Let me know if that works for you!
@card-one-concepts: I’m so sorry! I somehow overlooked the link you included when I originally read your entry. It seems that my plugin is not currently enabled. Can you enable Exit Notifier for me so I can take a look at the javascript console? If you’d like we can coordinate a time so that it’s not messing with the site in the meantime…
Thanks the pop up is now working now im just having an issue seeing the text.
It looks like the text boxes defining those values on the settings page are empty. I’d be glad to look at it directly if you want. You’ll just need to make me an admin account on that test site.

Nevermind. Once i entered more than was default text it worked just fine.

I found that going in to display tab and changing the background colour to white will fix the problem.
