Hello, I am having trouble with the plugin.

My site is displaying both the mailchimp form and custom form I designed using your plugin. I want to display just the form I customized using your plugin and not the mailchimp default.

I copied “naked” code from mailchimp per instructions.

    For example: http://www.brievete.com/rates/

Lastly, how can I customize the form as a pop-up or isolate to just a specific page? Thank you.

the “form action URL” is also copying the entire mailchimp code instead of just the relevant code per your screenshot

    Hi kangpin,

unfortunately, MailChimp does that when you try to copy their HTML code. You would need to copy the entire code, paste it in a tool like Notepad, and then copy just the form action URL.

If you want to display your optin form on a single page, select the Don't display on posts and custom post types and Don't display on pages options under Form Placement, and add the following shortcode to the post or page where you want your optin form to appear: [optinform]. Optin Form doesn’t support popups.

Let me know if you require any further assistance.

still no luck. i tried deleting plugin and reinstalling but the form action url does not update properly even after i copy and paste from notepad. can i send you screenshot?

    Hi kangpin,

can you please create a temporary user on your website and send me the login details through http://codeleon.com/contact so I can fix this for you.

    Let me know πŸ˜‰

I’m having precisely the same issue. Here’s a screen capture of the “email solution” screen within the plugin: http://www.jonathanwiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Screen-Shot-2015-03-23-at-9.48.12-PM.png.

I accidentally pasted the entire MailChimp form code rather than just the form action URL. Now I cannot remove it. Deleting and reinstalling the plugin does not even work, so I assume that editing the plugin files is not the answer. What files do I need to scrub to start over with a completely fresh installation?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Hi Boris,

I ended up fixing the problem by manually deleting the unnecessary code directly from the WordPress database itself. It would be very helpful if you could give your users the ability to optionally remove the plugin data when they uninstall it. That would resolve this issue in the future.

Thanks–now that it’s working, Optin Forms is great!

The issue with pasting the entire MailChimp code into the Form Action URL field is going to be solved with the upcoming version.

    Glad you fixed the problem!

If you need customize the position of the plugin, you need disable it first.Or paste the code will show two subscriber!
