    Hello,

I have installed and activated this plugin. I am using WordPress 6.4.3 and PHP 8.2.

After installation and setting up all the options eg field names, required fields, success message etc and saving, when previewing, I get this error message:

Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /home/u299666156/domains/travelmakerismymiddlename.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/subscribe-to-download-lite/inc/views/frontend/stdl-shortcode.php on line 3

This goes on until the number 42 ie “on line 31, 32, …” until 42.

    Can you assist with this?

    Thank you in advance

    Hello @stephunique

Thank you for writing to us. It seems our plugin’s settings is not saved properly due to which the issue is occurring.

Can you please confirm if you get the “Settings save successfully” message after you hit the save button as shown in the screenshot below?

    Hello,

I can confirm that the “Settings saved successfully” message appears after I save changes to the settings.

    Hello @stephunique,

Thank you for the confirmation. Can you please confirm if every changes that you have made in our plugin’s settings is saved properly even after you close the browser and reopen the page again?

And also can you please check once by using our plugin’s shortcode in any one page or post and let us know if you get the error there as well?

If after the confirmation that the settings is stored properly, our plugin stores the settings in the option table. And may be due to some reason our plugin is not being able to get those settings from the option table in frontend. This might be caused by some other plugins as well. So please check once by deactivating all other plugins and let us know the result afterwards.

    Thanks

    Hello WP Shuffle,

I just checked everything again and for some reason it works now. I don’t even know what I did. I did everything the same as yesterday, except I guess I re-logged in again, sort of like a refresh.

However I now also get the issue where the link sends the subscriber to the homepage of the site (when encryption is on), and when it is off, the link address is not encrypted (it shows the full address) but when clicked, takes the user to a 403 page. Should I open a different support post for this issue?

    Hi @stephunique,

Thank you for the quick response. When the file is not being downloaded or open in the browser through direct link and showing 403 error then there is some file permission issue in your server so please check that.

Regarding the link encryption feature, it can be used to verify if the link has been clicked by subscriber or not and cannot share the link directly to other users. For this our plugin uses browser cookies to verify. So can you confirm if you have clicked the link from the same browser or not from which the subscription has been done?

    Thanks
