The plugin recently stopped displaying on the Brave iOS app. It used to work without issue. I am unsure precisely when the problem started, but it would have been sometime in 2025. Notably, the plugin will display if you disable the Trackers & Ads Blocking option in Brave.
Has this plugin started using tracking features that are being detected by the browser? What can I do to ensure no tracking features and that the plugin displays on all browsers?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
We have investigated the behavior in the Brave mobile browser. We found that the widget displays correctly when “Trackers & Ads blocking” is set to “Aggressive,” as long as the “Block scripts” option is not enabled. However, if “Block scripts” is turned on, the widget does not appear.
Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do about this, as enabling “Block scripts” completely prevents the loader.js file—which loads the widget—from running. This is a browser-level restriction, and it affects not only our plugin but any content relying on external JavaScript.
To assist you, I have attached a screenshot showing the setting combination where the widget displays properly: https://snipboard.io/lWrMew.jpg
If possible, we recommend instructing your users to keep the “Block scripts” setting disabled for your site in Brave. This will allow the widget to function as intended.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let us know!
Thank you for your response. The issue still occurs even with the “Block Scripts” feature turned off and Trackers & Ads Blocking is set to Standard. I have attached screenshots of the website and the settings. The reviews should appear immediately under “What Our Clients Say About Us.” On my end, the only thing that resolves this issue is setting the Trackers & Ads Blocking to Disabled. Again, this is a newer issue because I have used our site with Trackers & Ads Blocking set to Aggressive in the past.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to view the screenshots you attached, as the links appear to be broken. Could you please resend the images using a working link or by attaching them again?
Thank you very much for continuing to investigate this issue. The issue occurs on iPhone iOS 18.4.1 / Brave 1.77. Notably, the issue does not occur on iPad OS 18.4.1 / Brave 1.77.
The only setting that resolves the issue on my end is when Trackers & Ads Blocking is Disabled. The issue occurs if Trackers & Ads Blocking is in Standard or Aggressive mode. If Trackers & Ads Blocking is disabled, the plugin works even when Shields are up, Block Fingerprinting is on, Upgrade Connections to HTTPS is Strict, and Block Cookie Consent Notices is on. From what I can tell after going through the entire website, the Widgets for Google Reviews plugin is the only element affected by Trackers & Ads Blocking set to Standard or Aggressive.
It is interesting that, based on your screenshot, you claim that the plugin works when Trackers & Ads Blocking is set to Aggressive. I have updated the iPhone, cleared all history and cache, restarted, and the issue still occurs.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details about the issue.
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the problem on my side. I tested the widget in both aggressive and default modes, and it displayed correctly. I have attached a screen recording for your reference: Screen recording
For your information, I tested it on iOS 18.5 using the Brave browser version 1.77. Unfortunately, from our side, there is not much more we can do regarding this issue.
I would recommend reaching out to the Brave browser developers for further assistance, as this might be related to the browser itself.
Best regards, Laca from Trustindex
