    Hi,

I have just installed your plugin and created a new contact form with the new defaults WITHOUT ANY CHANGES TO IT. I Have embedded the short code into the page listed and checked with the WAVE tool the accessibility compliance of the form.

Results are disappointing: there are 2 alerts related to the contact form shown by the wave tool, 1 orphaned form label and 1 fieldset missing legend. The first one is really strange because it is related to a form below Send button and the Akismet sentence (and in the CF7 form there is nothing below this, so it must be added by either CF7 or your plugin).

Have a look for yourself at the results here: https://wave.webaim.org/report#/https://hosting196091.ae93c.netcup.net/kontakt/

Before I installed your plugin (i.e.. just using plain vanilla CF7) I had also 2 alerts, but different ones (2 orphaned form labels).

So for me the plugin just doesn’t work…

    Am I doing something wrong?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The first issue is a fieldset wrapping a bunch of hidden inputs. This is an error from Contact Form 7, but it’s outside of the templatable content. It will also have no impact on users, as hidden inputs aren’t navigable, so no user will ever interact with that fieldset.

The Akismet button appears to be inserted by your Cookie management plugin, as far as I can tell. It’s inserted after the form is executed, and is not within the context of Contact Form 7, so there’s nothing I can really do about it.

    Hi @joedolson ,

thank you very much for your reply. When I invoke the WAVE tool on my page TODAY, it does not produce any errors or warnings in the form! This was different when I started this case a few days ago. It’s strange, because I have no caching implemented and I did not make any changes to the contact form since then. Even more strange is, that you obviously got some errors today, did you?

So far, the WAVE tool was my trusted advisor regarding accessibility compliance, but I’m not sure I can trust it right now…

Anyway, the problems I reported in this case were all BEFORE hitting the Send button. I have now deactivated the cookie management on this page , and I would appreciate if you could have another look to veryfy if the problem is really related to it.

But since problems are not reproducible any more from my side, I apologize for having wasted your time.

    Thanks!
